Your 1900 leather article is a luxury product that requires special care to preserve its exceptional beauty and character. We recommend following these general care guidelines:
- To ensure it retains its elegant shape as the years pass, take care not to overload your bag.
- Avoid exposure to any source whatsoever of heat, light and moisture. Direct sunlight can diminish the lustre or colour of your item, even through a glass window or windshield.
- If your item becomes wet, immediately blot it, without rubbing. using an absorbent, lint-free cotton cloth.
- Protect your item from coming into contact with any oily or chemical substance perfumes, cosmetics, solvents and alcoholic solutions.
- Never treat your item with any waterproofing substance, as this will damage the material.
- When storing your item, place it upright in its protective dust bag. away from any source of moisture, light and heat and ensuring that the handles are not resting against the body of the item. Ideally: we recommend lining your item with tissue paper, then wrapping any detachable accessories in additional tissue paper and placing them inside the item to prevent the marking of the leather.
- Metal 1900 accessories are coated in precious materials. To avoid altering or damaging these materials, avoid all contact with water, perfumes, hairspray, etc, and never clean them with chemical maintenance products.
- Always take care not to scratch or rub your item against rough or abrasive surfaces. Never place your item directly on the floor or ground.
